Pu Er Tea
With its origins in the Yunnan Province of China, Pu Er tea dates back to the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220CE).
The tea is named after Pu’er City, the trading post where it was sold for centuries along the Silk Road.
This dark tea is celebrated for its ability to improve with age, much like fine wine.
Scarlet (Big Red Robe)
Big Red Rope, also known as Da Hong Pao in Chinese, is an esteemed oolong tea from China’s Wuyi Mountains.
The name stems from a legend in which the tea healed Emperor Wanli’s mother. In gratitude, he draped a red robe over the tea bushes.
We think “Scarlet” depicts aptly its beautiful dark red color.
Iron Buddha
Discovered between 1723 and 1735 in Fujian, China, the tea’s Chinese name of “Tie Quan Ying” or “Iron Goddess of Mercy,” is derived from a legend about a poor farmer who received divine guidance from the Buddha to discover a tea shoot, which he cultivated into a high-quality tea.
This tea is celebrated for its floral aroma and complex taste profile.
Ying Hong No.9
Probably among the youngest in the history of teas, this black tea with heritage from Yunnan big-leaf variety was crafted by Yingde, Guangdong tea masters to appeal to European tastes.
The finest crop was chosen and named Ying Hong Number 9 in 1961, later earning its status as among the top 3 premium black tea in China.
Renowned for its distinctive floral scent and delicate flavor, setting it apart from other black teas.
Rose Tea
During the Han Dynasty (141-87 BC) in China, roses were utilized in traditional medicine prized for their health benefits and cooling properties.
Rose tea gained popularity in the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), where dried rose petals were infused with green tea, black tea, or herbal blends, creating a delightful and fragrant beverage.
Perfect (Floral Drink)
In ancient Persia, the art of distilling rose petals to capture the essence of the flower in liquid form was developed, and became a symbol of hospitality and luxury.
It was not only enjoyed for its delicate flavor but also valued for its therapeutic properties.
